Thanks to a national award from StriveTogether and KABOOM!, children in Northfield will enjoy a brand-new playground this fall! It will be constructed at the new Northfield Community Education Center (the old Greenvale Park Community School) and will have equipment for children ages 0-12, with a special emphasis on ages 0-5. Northfield was one of only 3 cities in the country selected to receive a playground!

We want to hear from you!

As part of the design process, KABOOM! wants to hear from kids who will use the playground. What do you want to see on the playground? What does your dream playground look like?

Share your playground dreams

KABOOM! asks kids to share their playground dreams on two sheets. These can be downloaded here or picked up at the Northfield Public Schools’ lunch drop offs at Emmaus Church or on Town Route #1 (Greenvale Place Apartments, Viking Terrace, Northfield Estates, Florella’s).

Once you’ve filled out the sheets, take a picture of them and email them to playground@northfieldpromise.org or text them to 612-578-5984 – or return the sheets to the lunch drop offs at Emmaus or Town Route #1.
