Representative Paul Thissen (Minnesota House Minority Leader) visited Northfield last week to learn more about the Northfield Promise initiative and the collective impact efforts underway in the community. Representative Thissen met with members of the Northfield Promise Council of Champions, Steering Committee, action teams, and Data Team to gain a better understanding of how Northfield Promise began, the initial pilot efforts, and plans for the future.

Representative Thissen also spoke with middle and high school students in the TORCH program and students participating in the City of Northfield’s new Youth Engagement initiative (which is funded through a leveraging grant from Youthprise).
