Northfield Promise was one of five collective impact initiatives that received pilot funding from the State of Minnesota during the recently completed state legislative process. Northfield joined initiatives in Minneapolis (Northside Achievement Zone), St. Paul (St. Paul Promise Neighborhood), Red Wing (Every Hand Joined), and St. Cloud (Partner for Student Success) in receiving this two-year funding. The award will support the implementation of action steps that emerge from Northfield Promise’s action teams, as well as fund coordination support, data tracking, and communications efforts.

In a time of divided government, this Educational Partnerships Fund initiative enjoyed bipartisan support. Leaders from both parties noted the commitment of these efforts to addressing the achievement and opportunity gaps through locally led, evidence-based solutions. They also highlighted the statewide collaboration pushed by the fund’s partners.
